Pont Champlain, Montreal

So I got on my bike at around 5:45 yesterday evening and tried to get to the south shore before the sun set. With numbing hands I made it through Verdun, across the ice bridge and to the base of the Champlain bridge as the sun was dipping below the island. Hopped a fence, set up the tri-pod and got to work. I took multiple exposures and was able to get a couple of different shots. This one came out the best.
Used Photomatix to render the HDR (high dynamic range) image then converted it to B&W.
Wiki definition- HDR is a set of techniques that allow for a greater dynamic range of luminances between the lightest and darkest areas of an image. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to represent more accurately the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.

Was another fun photo adventure, just might take a pair of gloves next time.
